Catherine Chia is Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Prudential plc and a member of the Group Executive Committee. She leads Prudential’s global people and culture agenda, shaping an organisation where people, performance and purpose come together to drive sustainable business growth.

With leadership experience spanning global and regional roles across Asia, Catherine has spent her career partnering business leaders to navigate transformation and evolving workforce needs. She is passionate about putting people at the heart of business strategy and creating work environments where individuals can grow, contribute and thrive.

Before joining Prudential in 2023, Catherine served as Chief Human Resources Officer at StarHub, where she led workforce optimisation, culture transformation, talent development and employee engagement. Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at LEGO, United Overseas Bank and Dell Technologies in Singapore and Shanghai.

A strong advocate for workplace wellbeing and inclusion, Catherine believes organisations have an important role to play in helping people realise their potential and be their best. She previously served on the board of the Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
