The CMHA HK Board comprises Senior Executive and C-Suite leaders from member organisations. The Board sets strategic directions for CMHA HK on the ways we support our members, the areas of research and development undertaken by the Executive Team, and to identify how we can best support the broader Hong Kong business community.
Jennifer Tam is a partner in Simmons & Simmons advising on all areas of employment law with an emphasis on contentious employment, discrimination, harassment, and data privacy disputes.
Jennifer has solid experience in handling high profile and complex employment litigation at various court levels from the Labour Tribunal to the Court of Final Appeal, handling investigations by and complaints to the Labour Department, Equal Opportunities Commission and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of Hong Kong, advising on internal corporate investigations, disciplinary issues and termination of employment and dealing with trade unions and labour relations issues.
On the non-contentious side, Jennifer advises on all HR issues including structuring the labour force, introduction of changes to terms of employment and enforcement of post termination restrictions. Jennifer serves on various committees of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management and provides trainings on HR issues.
Jennifer speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Norbert Wong is the Chief Risk Officer, Hong Kong and Greater China & North Asia in Standard Chartered. He is responsible for leading the Risk functions for Hong Kong with Risk oversight for China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Macau.
Norbert has over 25 years of risk management experience across various credit cycles in Asia Pacific countries at both country and head/regional office level. He joined Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam as Country Chief Risk Officer and Country Credit Head (Retail) in July 2017. In addition, he had risk governance and oversight for Thailand, Philippines and Australia. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank, he held various Risk Management roles with HSBC, Citibank, and ANZ at both country and regional/global level.
Norbert obtained Master of Management (Banking) from Massey University and BCom/LLB from the University of Auckland.
Mark Saunders is the ASPAC Head of Clients & Markets at KPMG, responsible for leading a client-first approach to how the business goes to market.
Based in Hong Kong, Mark returned to KPMG in 2023 following four years with JLL as the Head of Client Partnerships Asia Pacific, responsible for elevating a client-first culture and capability across the region.
With over 18 years of experience and expertise, Mark has led and closed many important client partnerships. He has built large teams and implemented infrastructure that has delivered long lasting collaboration and growth across multiple geographies and sectors.
Peter Picton-Phillipps is a partner of EY Greater China, responsible for managing EY’s business serving the financial services sector in Hong Kong. Peter joined EY in London in 1993 and moved to Hong Kong in 1999 to join a fledgling team of financial services specialists. He’s enjoyed being part of building a business that has 1300 professionals today.
Leading a professional services business, Peter has long been a proponent of the modern talent agenda, and particularly on the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion and wellbeing. He established EY’s Unity network for Asia Pacific, focused on LGBT+ inclusion, in 2015, and speaks on this topic both internally and externally at conferences or for clients. He was awarded Community Business’ LGBT+ Executive Sponsor award in 2019. His support for wellbeing has developed over his career as he learnt how best to support his own wellbeing and that of others. In 2020 he established EYHK’s mental wellbeing initiative to complement the existing wellbeing activities of the firm.
Peter is a director of the City Mental Health Alliance Hong Kong, Treasurer of Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong, and a member of the Hong Kong Committee of the ICAEW. He has an MA(Hons) from the University of St Andrews, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Selene joined HSBC in 2001. With a background in structuring, she held various positions in the FX product line within Global Markets across London, New York and Hong Kong including Global Head of FX Options and APAC Head of FX & Commodities. She also held management roles in Global Markets’ corporates sales team with a focus on corporate risk solutions.
From August 2020, Selene was in the equities business responsible for the asset class in Asia including cash execution services, equity derivatives, structured products, prime finance and exchanged traded derivatives. Selene is also a board member of Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA).
Selene joined HSBC in London after her studies in Canada. She is now a mother of two adorable sons, and a carer to her parents living in Hong Kong. She has been a proud co-sponsor of the Hong Kong Ability Network since 2022, one of HSBC’s employee resource groups supporting members on all aspects of living and working with a disability, physical or mental health condition, and on being a carer and partnering with likeminded NGOs and charities in the community.
Sherry Cui is a partner at Haiwen & Partners. She has extensive experience in international capital markets transactions, advising on the full range of capital market products, including investment grade debts, high-yield bonds, MTN programmes, regulatory capital and hybrids, equity-linked bonds, credit-enhanced and structured bonds, panda bonds and liability management.
Sherry has developed key relationships with leading international investment banks, as well as with China’s principal government organisations, financial institutions and leading SOEs and private enterprises.
Sherry is a committed advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion and is passionate about raising mental health and well-being awareness in the workplace. Sherry is a certified Mental Health First Aider in Hong Kong.

Dr Zoë Fortune led the establishment of the City Mental Health Alliance Hong Kong (CMHA HK) and was the first CEO from 2017-2021. She is currently Assistant Professor in Psychology at Heriot Watt University in Dubai. She maintains roles as a Partner at Minds Matter DXB, as a Cluster Lead for the University of Hong Kong Research & Impact Initiative on Communication in Healthcare, as a member of the CMHA HK Advisory Panel and a Trustee for UK Charity MenWalkTalk.
Zoë has led large scale research programmes across multiple countries for work in healthcare, modern slavery and international development. Alongside teaching, she aims to support improvements in mental health services, public health and healthcare communication through research, training and direct implementation. Her research interests include workplace wellbeing and mental health, student and graduate mental health, and the application of psychological research methods to improve healthcare communication.
Olya arrived in Hong Kong in December 2003 after completing her PhD studies in St. Petersburg, Russia, and she has researched and taught in Hong Kong ever since. Her areas of expertise and research interests broadly include health communication in setting related to mental health, genetic health and Chinese medicine among others. She has a long-standing collaboration with public hospitals and healthcare institutions in Hong Kong. She has also done extensive research in several large international corporations and privately owned business.
She currently directs Research and Impact Initiative for Communication in Healthcare at the University of Hong Kong (HKU RIICH), that is part of the International Consortium for Communication in Healthcare. Other key stakeholders of the consortium include the Australian National University, Harvard University, Nanyang Technological University, University College London, Queensland University of Technology and Lancaster University. Olya has published extensively on various aspects of healthcare communication, and she is the Founding Editor of the book series "Language, Health and Culture" (Routledge). Currently she is busy working on a book-length manuscript "Happy Thriving Workplaces" (with Zoe Fortune) and pursuing her second advanced degree in Public Health.
Kim is a counsellor who works with individuals and couples in a clinical setting in private practice, NGO settings and in the corporate sector. Born and raised in the US, Kim has lived in Hong Kong since 1994.
Kim worked in investment banking in New York and Hong Kong for 12 years and, following a career break to raise her family, obtained a Master’s degree in counselling.
One of her areas of interest is working with professionals facing workplace adjustment, stress and performance issues, burnout, and career challenges and planning.
Kim is a keen advocate on raising awareness and reducing the stigma around issues related to mental health, both to the community at large and in the workplace context.
She regularly provides workshops and training for local and multinational corporations as well as educational institutions on a range of topics, including managing stress and anxiety, general mental health awareness, cultivating wellbeing through positive psychology, building resilience and mindfulness. She is also a certified instructor for Mental Health First Aid.
Dr Brantly is a UK trained and qualified GP. He graduated from Imperial College Medical School and completed his general practice training in west London. Charles had developed an interest in Hong Kong over many years and made the move to relocate here with his family in 2014.
As a foreign doctor, Charles is one of only a handful of candidates to complete the rigorous "Licentiate" medical process of Hong Kong. He is intimately familiar with local healthcare policies and procedures whilst having the most up to date training available to UK general practice. Charles has an old-fashioned approach of offering his patients a “cradle to grave” service as a GP and enjoys the variety of his job. He also has a special interest in primary prevention, cardiovascular disease, mental health and sports science. He works full time out of a busy family clinic in Central and conducts hospital admissions for more serious cases.
Charles grew up in the expatriate community of Brazil and speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. He enjoys playing competitive squash and trail running.
Jon has been an educator, teacher trainer and educational manager in the commercial, government and not-for-profit sectors for over 30 years, working in the UK, Italy, Czech Republic, China, Russia, Malaysia and South Africa, before settling in Sydney in 2000.
Jon currently oversees Black Dog Institute education, clinical services and e-mental health dissemination. He is passionate about ensuring research outcomes are translated into effective, evidence-based services, products and resources that have impact across the community.
With over 14 years experience, Dr Shroff has worked in community mental health centres, private psychology clinics, medical clinics and both outpatient and inpatient units in hospitals in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the USA. Her approach unites holistic thinking with rigorous academic knowledge and years of experience. She utilises evidence based and multiculturally informed treatments to help clients transform adversity into growth and awareness into action.
Sharmeen is passionate about conducting training and workshops for multinational corporations to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around issues related to employee mental health. She has assisted numerous organisations to address these issues more effectively and create psychologically healthy workplaces to reduce the rate of burnout, absenteeism and presenteeism.
Dr Shroff serves on the Advisory Council for The Women’s Foundation Mentoring Program as well as being a clinical advisor for The Zubin Foundation. She is a registered member of the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS), The American Psychological Association (APA) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Dr Candice Powell joined Mind HK as Chief Executive Officer in September 2022. She trained as a clinical psychologist at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining Mind HK, Candice worked at New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, one of Hong Kong’s largest community mental health NGOs, for 13 years. Candice is an honorary lecturer at The University of Hong Kong, a fellow of The Hong Kong Psychological Society and a training officer of the Association of Contextual and Behavioural Science (Hong Kong Chapter).
Candice is diversely trained in evidence-based psychological intervention. Apart from being a practitioner, she is also a rigorous researcher and is widely published in academic journals and has presented her study findings at local and international conferences. She has developed innovative intervention programmes for improving people’s mental health and well-being. She introduced Mindful Parenting, digitised Unified Protocol for emotional disorders, and established a stepped-care psychological service in Hong Kong. She hopes everyone with emotional distress can easily access quality psychological services.
